TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) assesses academic English competencies (listening, reading, writing and speaking) in the context of university-level content and multi-skill integration. Accepted by more than 11,000 universities and other institutions in over 150 countries, this exam is offered in two formats: internet- (iBT TOEFL) and paper-based (TOEFL Paper-delivered Test), with two different sets of scores and band descriptions.
TOEFL can be useful for:
· applying to immigration departments in foreign countries, which use it to issue residential and work visas;
· medical and licensing agencies, which use it for professional certification;
· individuals who want to measure their progress in learning English;
· becoming eligible for language compensation benefits at companies; and,
· skipping the preparation year at university.
In collaboration with the test taker, CLS Center creates a unique program for each student, based on their current level of English, their timetable, and their target score.
